Pastor Lance Ogden

We just got off the mountain of a fantastic and very successful mission trip with Mission KC 2010.  The team worked well and grew closer together.  We gained new friends and family with Pastor Jesse Thomas and New Wave Ministries in Belton MO, as well as with Pastor Omar Segovia at Central Baptist Church in downtown Kansas City.  I pray that we will have a long and fruitful relationship with both.  As a church we recently raised over $1,000 for the “Least of These” food drive.  We support 16 missions/missionaries each month.  We are doing some good things…but we can and will do more!

I am missions driven…missions as a whole.  When Jesus was about to ascend back to heaven, His final words to the disciples were, “you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be My witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

The vision of missions is to reach your CITY…STATE…COUNTRY…WORLD with the good news of Christ!  Jesus said, “as you go”; the believer is ALWAYS a minister on mission.  I believe any money or service that is going to invest in meeting spiritual, physical, or financial needs is missions!  Praying…Giving…Going is missions!

My vision for Calvary is to make an impact for Christ in Nixa…Missouri…America…the World!  We must focus and be purposeful with the opportunities that God gives.  Not just give money and think that we did our part, but as we give we also GET UP pray and go into our JERUSALEM…JUDEA…SAMARIA…WORLD with the purpose of the Kingdom of God!  I pray that you will catch the vision and be part!
